Rates Full Day Offshore Fishing: $1575 (Price does not reflect a discount for Cash)
On the full day offshore trip, the Calypso will depart Hatteras Harbor around sunrise and head to the rich gulf stream waters in search of pelagic fish species such as tuna, dolphin and wahoo, and billfish like the blue and white marlin, and sailfish. You never know what your next bite will be in the gulf stream off Hatteras! Expect to also see various marine life such as flying fish and porpoises, as well as pelagic birds like shearwaters and petrels. This trip usually ends mid afternoon, returning to the dock around 4-5pm.
Half Day Nearshore Fishing: $735 (Price does not reflect a discount for Cash)
On the half day near shore fishing trip, we will explore Hatteras Inlet on the hunt for spanish mackerel and bluefish, while looking for cobia, red drum and possibly black drum to sight cast to. In addition, there is a possibility of fishing a nearshore wreck for seas bass, mackerel, barracuda and amberjacks. These trips are typically 5 hours, with the morning trip leaving around sunrise, and the afternoon trip leaving at noon. This type of trip is great for families, families with children or groups wanting to "test the waters" without ever loosing sight of land. You never know what you will see on this adventure from bird and marine life to shallow water ship wrecks. Half Days are Seasonal May thru October.
Gratuity Here's my outlook on tipping and gratuity: When you are in a restaurant, a customary tip is 15-20% of your bill. And you are not tipping for the quality of the food, but the service you are given by the wait staff. Same idea rings true on the Calypso with your crew. Tip according to the hard work and relentless pursuit, not what we catch. Customary tip is 15-20% of the charter price. Deposit
This pricing DOES NOT reflect a 5% discount for cash, and is subject to a 5% to 10% fuel surcharge. Once you get your dates together, you can book the Calypso one of 2 ways: 1) Call Captain Jeremy to reserve your day(s), and mail the deposit. I require a $500 deposit for all offshore charter reservations, due within 2 weeks of booking your trip. You can mail the deposit to: Captain Jeremy Hicks PO Box 125 Hatteras, NC 27943 OR: 2) Use Calypso's secure online booking calendar below (you don't have to sign in). Just click on your day, provide your basic info and pay the deposit or full day charter price with a credit card. Weather Cancellation Policy
We have a lot of tools at our fingertips to help us know what the weather is SUPPOSE to be, but the forecast is not always accurate. Capt. Jeremy is more than willing to work with you, but there are limitations. So here is our policy: If the weather does not allow us to leave the dock on your day of fishing and Capt. Jeremy makes the call to NOT go fishing, your trip is 100% refundable. Or we can move you to another day while you are here OR another time you want to book, your choice. If YOU make the call that YOU do not want to go fishing, you will lose your deposit.
